About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is looking for a reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic Operating Assistant to join our team in supporting high-quality patient care within the Operating Suite. The ideal candidate is a great team player who takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

We are seeking someone who is attentive to detail and dedicated to infection control standards, with duties that include cleaning theatres between cases, removing waste, and performing end-of-day cleaning procedures. The Operating Assistant will also provide valuable support to clinical staff by assisting with patient positioning and delivering blood and tissue samples across the hospital.

What You'll be Doing
Safe transportation of patients to and from theatre as well as the cleanliness of theatres. All staff are expected to take reasonable care that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others, that they comply with any reasonable instruction that is given them and with any reasonable policies/procedures relating to health or safety in the workplace, as well as notifying any hazards/risks or incidents to their managers.
