Selection criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
  2. Demonstrated competency in mental health rehabilitation with an ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group clinical rehabilitation interventions. , e.g. skills assessment and training, vocational interventions, health promotion and education, motivational interviewing and psychosocial strategies.
  3. Experience working with young people (14-25 years) with mental health concerns, and knowledge of the mental health needs of young consumers with early psychosis and their families.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation, and a strengths based and recovery focused approach to service provision.
  5. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within the multi-disciplinary team and with a diverse range of stakeholders including consumers, families and service providers.
  6. Ability to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience
  7. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, evidence based practice and ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  8. Current, unrestricted NSW Driver’s licence.
