About the role
The Nurse Unit Manager is in charge of a ward or unit and provides leadership and management of staff, including performance management, training, Counselling, services and resources to ensure delivery of safe, effective, quality nursing care.

You’ll be a role model to uphold policies and professional standards practices with staff to deliver evidence based best-practice and safe care.  You’ll also be an advocate for our organisational change processes to continuously improve nursing care delivery. 

Primary health care is typically the first contact an individual with a health concern has with the health system. Primary health care covers health care that is not related to a hospital visit, including health promotion, prevention, early intervention, treatment of acute conditions, and management of chronic conditions Known as the 'Astronomy Capital of Australia'.

Coonabarabran is the gateway to the magnificent Warrumbungle National Park. It is a peaceful country town set beneath the majestic Warrumbungle Mountain Range.

Hours of work are Mon- Fri 8:00 – 16:30
