About the role:
Are you a passionate and driven nurse leader looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking an experienced or aspiring Nurse Unit Manager to lead our dynamic Medical, Surgical, and Surge units.
In this role, you'll provide strong clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within a busy hospital environment. You'll play a vital part in improving patient outcomes and supporting your team to thrive.
As the NUM, you will:

Lead and manage the daily operations of three distinct wards.

Support and guide your team to deliver exceptional care that maximises health outcomes for our diverse community.

Be responsible for staffing allocation, rostering, recruitment, and effective management of nursing hours across the units.

Foster a positive team culture through clear communication, collaboration, and mentorship.

Oversee clinical governance and service delivery to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
What we are looking for:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Strong clinical knowledge and leadership skills with a passion for patient-centred care.
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities to balance competing priorities.
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HealthRoster and ward-based workforce management is highly regarded.
Previous NUM or team leadership experience preferred, but not essential – we welcome applicants ready to take the next step.
