- Registered Nurse with a current licence to practice from Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds a relevant tertiary qualification or working towards same.
- Demonstrated recent experience in a nursing leadership role involving change management, motivational skills and team development together with the ability to apply complex problem solving strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate policy using evidence based practice including coordinating and facilitating related education and training requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and the capacity to apply knowledge and skills to develop innovative clinical improvement strategies.
- An understanding of the theories that underpin adult learning, capacity building and practice development.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including comprehensive reports and advice for key internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage key nursing and midwifery projects within required timeframes and to provide advice on project impacts and outcomes.
- Evidence of a current class C driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
