About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced and passionate nursing professional with a strong desire to shape the future of perioperative care? Bankstown Hospital is looking for a dynamic Nurse Unit Manager to provide maternity leave relief for our Operating Theatres team. In this vital role, you will lead and support our dedicated nursing staff while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our operating theatres, including patient care, staff management, and continuous quality improvement. You’ll be a key leader in guiding and mentoring our nursing team, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and excellence in patient outcomes. Your leadership will empower the team to deliver outstanding, patient-centered care while embracing the latest advancements in perioperative nursing practice.

What you'll be doing

The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is in-charge of all aspects of the unit environment and takes overall responsibility for the standard of patient care in the unit. The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
