- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
- Extensive operational management and clinical knowledge and skills in a complex Mental Health setting, that demonstrate an ability to effectively coordinate unit / service activities.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the unit / service are managed, within a defined budget, to deliver safe and efficient health care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a nursing team within a mutidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff, patients and external agencies and the ability to positively influence organisational change and to utilize a broad range of communication, facilitation and negotiation skills in a wide variety of settings, including the ability to access computerized information systems and generate quality written reports.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use a variety of computer applications.
- Extensive leadership using contemporary change management methodologies and an understanding of current issues impacting on the nursing profession in a Mental Health setting.
- A current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence.
