Selection Criteria to be addressed:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Midwife / Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in management or working towards attainment
- Demonstrated skills in quality improvement/redesign projects and the associated change management
- Demonstrated sound financial skills with an ability to interpret financial reports
- Proven ability to motivate, manage and develop nursing/midwifery staff to maintain a positive workplace culture
- Proven ability to assess nursing/midwifery utilisation and resource requirements within agreed targets
- Demonstrated effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Extensive recent midwifery experience in an acute care setting
