Where you'll be working 

The Nursing Unit Manager Level 1 is a registered nurse position, managing a 30 bedded subacute ward within the Kiloh Centre at Prince of Wales Hospital. The Kiloh Centre has a total of 46 mental health beds for male and females. This is an exciting role supporting the nursing team and delivering high quality care to consumers.

Selection Criteria: 

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA.
  2. Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  3. Ability to lead and promote change within the clinical program.
  4. Demonstrated advanced leadership skills in an acute inpatient setting.
  5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to engage and manage teams.
  6. Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture.
  7. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in acute mental health inpatient setting.
  8. Current NSW Driver's Licence, or ability and willingness to travel if required for the role.
