Where you’ll be working:
Glen Innes Hospital, a 32-bed Level 3 rural facility, serves a community of over 8,800 people, including 6% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents. The hospital features a 4-bed Emergency Department and provides essential healthcare services to a diverse population. Located in the heart of the rural community, Glen Innes Hospital is dedicated to offering high-quality care in a supportive environment.
In this role, you’ll be part of the busy Emergency Department, which sees approximately 500 patients each month. The department operates a VMO service Monday to Thursday and follows a Business Continuity Plan on weekends when no VMO is on-site. A typical week will involve assessing and treating emergency cases, managing patient flow, and working closely with a dedicated team in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. The team fosters a collaborative, supportive culture, focused on delivering excellent patient care in a rural setting.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and current endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in a fast-paced emergency department
Additional information:
- An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
- This position is full time; however, part time arrangements will be considered.
