What you'll be doing

As the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Internal Facilitation of Nursing Clinical Placements project across the District. The role will provide leadership in developing, implementing and managing the SESLHD internal facilitation program.
You will utilise your extensive experience and skills in working in partnership with stakeholders across the district as well as external stakeholders to achieve this. You will work closely with SESLHD-partnered Education Providers and all internal stakeholders including Nursing Student Placement Coordinators based in SESLHD facilities. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager – ClinConnect Management and Governance, you will develop and deliver the project business plan, including the implementation, delivery and evaluation of the project.
You will be responsible for the professional development, education and organisation of nursing staff employed as facilitators within the project.
You will work in collaboration with the SESLHD Nurse Manager -ClinConnect and Governance and have an organisational role in driving nursing related professional strategy/ initiatives through the project in line with Professional Nursing Plans throughout SESLHD, whilst fostering an environment that promotes personal and professional development.

- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse/ Midwife; and current NSW driver’s licence and a willingness to travel as required in role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management or working towards attainment and/or extensive demonstrated experience in nursing/midwifery management roles.
- Demonstrated experience and competency in change management and/or delivery of projects with measurable outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level verbal, written and negotiation skills with an aptitude to utilise relevant information technology platforms and ability to provide clear and concise business plans and reports.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes.
- Sound understanding of the undergraduate nursing student placement program within NSW Health.
- Excellent computer literacy skills in all aspects of MS Office and corporate systems, including data management
