What you'll be doing
The Nurse Manager Grade 5 provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across key community-based services including the Health Contact Centre, Complex Care Coordination, Chronic Disease Management/ Respiratory CNC, Oncology and Palliative Care, NDIS and related programs. 
 
The Nurse Manager leads multidisciplinary teams, fosters partnerships across the health and community sectors, and drives service innovation, including the development and implementation of emerging integrated care programs. As a senior nursing leader this role plays a critical part in delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred care.  Contribute to workforce capability, models of care transformation, and a culture of compassion, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, ensuring the best outcomes for patients, their families, and the wider community.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Holds current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Meets mandatory compliance requirements, including a current NSW Driver’s Licence, and has no conditions on practice. Eligible to meet relevant requirements under state and national regulatory frameworks such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
  2. Holds a tertiary qualification in leadership and/or management and possesses substantial experience in a management role within a multidisciplinary community health environment, with demonstrated capability in program, model of care and service development.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to think critically and strategically, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions independently. Proven ability to contribute effectively as part of a high-performing team while also leading change and quality initiatives.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Health Integrated Care Programs, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and principles such as single point of access, integrated care delivery and supportive and palliative care.
