Essential Criteria:
Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Selection Criteria:
- Post graduate Health Management qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD
- Demonstrated relevant senior nursing experience in a relevant complex clinical setting. With a proven ability to ensure the human, physical and financial resources of the service/facility are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and manage conflicts and performance issues when they arise.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate strategic plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes for the service and organisation.
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, and quality and safety improvement projects in the workplace.
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues impacting on patient flow and capacity and demonstrated ability to engage teams in implementing demand management strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex human resources, work health and safety and industrial matters including high level communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational and professional outcomes.
