Nurse Educator - Incentives Offered
Selection Criteria
- Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV) or willingness to work towards and attain certification within 12 months of commencement of position.
- Demonstrated three years', at a minimum, experience providing clinical teaching and education to clinicians using adult learning principles and facilitation skills.
- Preparedness to work with and relevant experience in working with undergraduate students undertaking clinical placement and relevant key stakeholders including universities and the University Department of Rural Health in Broken Hill.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated sound organisational skills and the ability to be resourceful, proactive and flexible to successfully manage competing issues and deadlines.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and preparedness to travel across rural and remote areas.
