About the Role
Sydney Education is the education and training service for Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). Sydney Education offers over 300 courses per year and has a comprehensive range of both clinical and non-clinical courses and programs using technology to improve access to professional development and to provide high fidelity learning environments. We are a delivery site of the NSW Health RTO which means that we can offer our staff Nationally Recognised qualifications.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of an education and training strategy for the Burudyara Concord Forensic Mental Health Unit (CFMHU) which is a new clinical service that is part of the Statewide Mental Health Infrastructure Program. The unit will deliver 18 medium secure and 24 low secure forensic beds on the ground of the Concord Centre for Mental Health.

Ideal Candidate
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with demonstrated commitment to professional development of self and others including reflective practice and the ability to identify areas for growth.
- Significant education experience including the development, delivery and evaluation of education strategies and initiatives based on identified needs and priorities.
- Experience in a senior role with leadership responsibilities and demonstrated skills in consultation, negotiation, facilitation, coaching and mentoring.
- Critical thinking expertise that includes the ability to analyse data to support organisational decision making.
