- Holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Has a post graduate qualification relevant to the education portfolio. Has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or its successor (or TAE40110 plus the TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 units).
- Demonstrated experience in support of the development, delivery and evaluation of education programs relevant to the portfolio, using contemporary education modalities in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated clear understanding of adult learning principles and incorporation of these principles into education programs
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with the multidisciplinary health care team, patients/carers and consumers and external stakeholders in order to inform decision making on education matters.
- Demonstrated ability to support, and develop clinical staff, in the performance of their duties to the required standards.
- Demonstrated sound organisational skills and the ability to be resourceful, proactive and flexible, to ensure successful management of competing demands.
- Proven ability to act as a professional role model and promote NSW Health CORE Values.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
