About the Role
Sydney Education is the education and training service for Sydney Local Health District (SLHD). Sydney Education offers over 300 courses per year and has a comprehensive range of both clinical and non-clinical courses and programs using technology to improve access to professional development and to provide high fidelity learning environments. We are a delivery site of the NSW Health RTO which means that we can offer our staff Nationally Recognised qualifications.
 
The purpose of this position is to deliver high quality education and training initiatives to the staff of SLHD to ensure that they have the skills required to deliver or support the delivery of high-quality patient and family centered care. The primary focus of this position will be in the Staff Safety portfolio within the Clinical Practice and Safety Team. This includes but is not limited to: violence prevention management, mask fit testing and other education that ensures the SLHD workforce has the required skills and knowledge for both staff and patient safety.

Ideal Candidate
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Ability to produce high quality written documents including educational resources, evaluation reports and other documents.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior role that included the provision of workplace coaching, feedback and support.
  • Experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of educational activities and projects.
