Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or other specialist recognition by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered, if successful, the applicant will not be subsequently eligible to commence their appointment until after the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our Organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Experience and proven performance as a Staff Specialist in acute adult psychiatry and acute mental health care systems
- Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary framework team across hospital and community settings
- Understanding of and commitment to Local Health District, State and National Mental Health priorities and plans
- Expert knowledge and proven experience in working with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007
- Experience in teaching Psychiatry to Medical, Nursing and Allied Health students, Psychiatry trainees and others as required
- Experience in clinical practice improvement/quality improvement and experience or willingness to participate in clinical research, Consumer Safety and Learning Organisation principles
