Selection Criteria
- General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) and/or working towards Fellowship. Other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award. Applicants without Fellowship will commence on a classification based on qualifications and experience.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Tertiary management qualification at a masters level (MHA and/or MBA or equivalent), and/or relevant experience in a medical management role.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical care and various clinical models of care and associated clinical information systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in managing current issues in medical workforce, medical staff training and industrial requirements for medical officers.
- Ability to provide leadership as part of the executive team and ability to work in an executive team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to accountability and proven financial management skills within a health environment.
- A comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to health system safety, quality, risk management, change management, improvement systems, innovation and best practice.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy
All NSW Health workers are required to have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as defined by NSW Health. Employees working in a clinical area or are required to attend clinical areas are considered category A. Category A positions are required to provide evidence of having received three doses of COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (TGA) and meet the requirements of the Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
