Selection Criteria
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Surgery. (This includes applicants who completed an overseas trained specialist pathway and who are eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in a surgical specialty or anaesthetics)
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer in the surgical discipline, at a site with at least a similar role delineation to the NNSWLHD service
- Demonstrated recent leadership and management experience, managing staff, financial resources and equipment, with the ability to work with and develop a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
