NNSWLHD Staff Specialist - Deputy Director Medical Services, Tweed Byron Network (Apply via eCredential)

1. Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Medical Administrator, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways or working towards such eligibility, or equivalent qualification and experience as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award OR Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Medical Practitioner, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways
2. Proven ability to manage the junior medical workforce across distributed facilities, including supervision, pastoral care and performance
3. Demonstrated experience in leading clinical governance, digital health adoption, and system-level improvements in a complex, multi-site health service environment.
4. Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of clinical governance and clinical risk management and demonstrated capacity to implement and maintain continuous quality improvement management strategies
5. Sound understanding of contemporary Health Service issues and the proven ability to prioritise and effectively manage resources to address these issues
6. Communication, negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills, incorporating the ability to liaise and consult with all levels of the health industry, the community and various professional groups
7. Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
8. Availability and capacity to participate in Executive on call roster
