Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for Social Workers or eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) for Speech Pathologists.
  2. Demonstrated ability to stay informed of current trends in Aged Care service delivery.
  3. Detailed knowledge of the Australian Government, My Aged Care Assessment Manual-June 2018, the legislative requirements under the Aged Care Act 1997 and the My Aged Care Assessment and Portal User Guides.
  4. Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communications skills, including developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, including an ability to work across discipline boundaries and in a multidisciplinary team
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work.
  7. Knowledge of computer systems and the use of databases relevant to ACAP.
  8. Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.

 

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2022_030
 All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.


All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful. Category B positions must have at least two doses and must also provide COVID-19 vaccination evidence if successful.
