Selection Criteria 

  1. Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in project management in the Health sector, with a proven track record of planning, designing and implementing complex evaluation projects and delivering positive outcomes under tight timelines and competing political and business priorities.
  2. Demonstrated business development experience, including communicating the team’s value proposition, translating customer needs into scope of work documents, and managing a pipeline of opportunities.
  3. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management including leading and driving initiatives, project planning, managing resources, risk management, and negotiating implementation outcomes.
  4. Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including the ability to maintain effective relationships and a consultative approach to the design and delivery of monitoring and evaluation initiatives.
  5. Understanding of health data linkage, including the process for establishing or leveraging existing data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  6. Strategic thinking capability, able to understand complex challenges and programs and apply problem solving and analytical skills to address and provide solutions to monitoring and evaluation challenges such as changing health policy, data availability and ethical requirements as and when they arise.
  7. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create presentations, graphs, reports and diagrammatic representations of concepts for a variety of work products.
  8. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changes in the availability of resources and time, capacity and competing demands whilst maintaining an outcomes and solutions-focussed approach to monitoring and evaluation activities.

  • This is a temporary role up to 30 June 2026. 
  • Please note the selection process will include a range of comparative assessment techniques to assist in determining your suitability for the role.
  • This position is open to internal NSW Health permanent employees, or temporary employees who have been employed as part of a merit based selection process for more than 3 months. 
    • Ministry of Health staff are part of the Public Service Group and employed under Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (NSW), and are not employees of NSW Health and would not be eligible to apply for internally advertised roles.
