The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital offering women a wide range of comprehensive women's health services. Selection Criteria:
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and current NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience with a demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- A demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management and delivery of health care services and the development, evaluation and ongoing support of contemporary models of midwifery care.
- Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimisation and practice development.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills that demonstrate the ability to engage and manage teams and support innovative practices.
- Ability to lead risk management activities related to maternity services provided within the Birthing Services environment and to implement strategies to ensure the ongoing provision of safe and high quality midwifery services to women.
- Proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate and achieve a vision for midwifery services.
- Excellent Midwifery clinical skills and a demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative team environment, with effective problem solving, delegation and negotiation skills.
