About the Role
The successful applicant for this position of ‘MERIT Caseworker’ will provide compassionate person centred care to clients that are referred within the MERIT program, which includes counselling and case management. You will be responsible for completing assessments, developing plans, delivering treatment and attending court. In collaboration with members of your multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that safe care is delivered to clients/families/carers in order to achieve identified goals and outcomes and that your professional responsibilities are met on a daily basis.  

You will be supported in this role by your Direct Line Manager, Clinical Supervisor, Allied Health Lead, Senior Nurse Manager and fellow MERIT/DACS colleagues. 

Where you'll be working
The successful candidate will work full time and be located in Tamworth. You will be a member of the multidisciplinary MERIT Program that sits under Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACS) and work within the Court Diversion area out of the local courts. The MERIT team is very supportive and welcoming, and are happy to offer their expertise and support to each other to assist in daily tasks.

The MERIT Caseworker will have outstanding organisational skills, be ethical with the ability to set good boundaries, and be motivated to participate in continuous improvement initiatives. You will be flexible in your work approach, with exceptional people skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to person-centred care.
