About us:
Manning Mental Health Service is made up of Care Coordination, Intake and Acute Care Teams. We operate as an acute outpatient mental health service who provide consultation, assessment, treatment and follow up of adults and their families within the Lower Mid North Coast community. Our service supports consumers with transition from hospital into the community through medication monitoring, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, organising of psychiatry reviews and liaising with support services.
About the role:
Join our supportive Continuing Care Team as a Mental Health Clinician and make a real difference in the lives of those in need. This full-time role offers the flexibility of a 5-day roster and the choice to be based in Forster or Taree - whichever location suits you best. You will be supported through orientation, ongoing in-service, and you will be encouraged to complete in-house and external training where relevant.
About you:
We’re looking for motivated and enthusiastic mental health professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality care. You’ll be confident managing competing priorities within an acute mental health service and value working as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
You’ll bring strong clinical knowledge and experience in mental health, along with a commitment to contemporary, person-centred care. A solid understanding of trauma-informed practice, shared care models, and family/carer-inclusive approaches is essential. Your ability to build effective therapeutic and professional relationships, alongside your collaborative communication style, will help drive positive outcomes for consumers and their support networks.
Requirements:
- Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program), which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
