- Qualifications eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or qualifications recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.; or qualifications eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; or qualifications eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Knowledge, skills and abilities in the assessment and treatment of young people presenting with complex mental health needs, using evidence-based approaches.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and Amendments, Children & Young Persons (Care & Protection Act) 2010 and National Mental Health Standards (2010), and Best Practice guidelines for service delivery in mental health.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
- Competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets)
- Current unrestricted Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required.
