About the Role
Hunter New England Health (HNE Health) delivers public health services across the Hunter, New England, and Lower Mid North Coast regions.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide accurate and efficient medical transcription services for staff specialists, registrars, and other medical professionals.
  • Type clinic letters and referrals across multiple medical specialties and ensure timely distribution to appropriate recipients.
  • Perform various ad hoc administrative tasks as directed by the Patient Services Manager.
  • Manage priorities and workload under pressure while maintaining an organised and consistent routine.
  • Work independently while collaborating with multiple hospital departments.

About the Team

  • You will join a close-knit administration team within the Patient Services Department at Armidale Hospital.
  • The team currently includes two typists, and the preferred working days for this role are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with opportunities to cover additional days when staff are on leave.
  • You will be supported by the Patient Services Manager and the Winscribe clinical systems team, who will provide relevant training and ongoing assistance.
  • The role includes mandatory ongoing training to support professional development.
