About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. 
 
The MRS principal role is to provide an imaging service for our clients in the most efficient, effective and professional way.  
The MRS is responsible for the welfare and safety of patients, staff and the public.

Ideal Candidate
  • Has a degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent qualification accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and General Registration with AHPRA.
  • Possess a Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Medical Sonography and be eligible for registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry LTD.
  • Possess a Licence to operate irradiating apparatus under the NSW Radiation Control Act. 
  • Has the demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of medical imaging procedures including ultrasound and radiographic duties, including shift work, on-call, Emergency and overtime when required.
