- Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Medical Imaging or equivalent.
- Current registration with Medical Radiation Practice Board (AHPRA), current NSW EPA licence and current Statement of Accreditation (AIR) or equivalent.
- Recognised Post Graduate Qualification in Ultrasound and accreditation with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
- Able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and proficiency in ultrasound clinical examinations.
- Able to demonstrate a substantial record of post accreditation clinical experience (ten years is an indicative guide).
- Able to demonstrate a substantial record of successfully managing clinical teams, implementing change and training staff; including the ability to communicate effectively and work within multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain systems to train and teach qualified and trainee sonographers in a busy clinical setting.
- Current driver licence and the ability to work a 7 day on call roster and willingness to work across multiple sites from time to time. Willingness to be available when needed for issues which may arise in the Wollongong Hospital Ultrasound Service.
