About the opportunity

NSW Health Pathology Maitland is seeking keen and highly motivated Technical Officers for immediate and upcoming openings at our Maitland Hospital. These Technical Officers will join our small but dynamic team of multidisciplinary technical staff who are servicing the needs of the diverse and rapidly growing Hunter Valley region.

The Maitland Laboratory forms part of the Public pathology network and consists of approximately 22 staff of varying grades. The New Maitland Hospital in Metford opened its doors in January 2022. This modern, purpose-built laboratory has space for future growth and beautiful views. Being part of a growing community, but still close to Newcastle, will see the area grow and expand and provide exciting opportunities within the laboratory space. With the expansion of the hospital and the increase in beds and outpatient services, the demand for fast, accurate and high standard of service delivery is paramount in building the already well-developed relationship the laboratory staff has with the stakeholders. The friendly Maitland team is supportive, embraces change, and above all, sets high standards for themselves and the team.
