About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced McGrath Cancer Care Clinical Nurse Consultant - Colorectal Care to join us in this exciting and dynamic new role to deliver service to all persons requiring colorectal cancer services. As the Colorectal CNC you will be responsible for being:
• A Champion for Colorectal Cancer Care – You will bring expertise, compassion, and commitment to guiding patients through every stage of their journey, from diagnosis to recovery or end-of-life care.
• A Tailored-Care Innovator – You know how to deliver the right information, education, and emotional support at the right time, adapting with agility to each patient’s unique and changing needs.
• A Team Connector – You thrive in multidisciplinary settings, building strong partnerships with colleagues and care providers to ensure all patient’s preferences and priorities are respected.
• A Person Centred Advocate – Seeing beyond the diagnosis, championing health and wellbeing in every dimension—physical, emotional, and social—so each person feels heard, valued, and supported.

About You:
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
• Advanced clinical knowledge and leadership in cancer care, with at least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration, with 3 years experience in oncology and or palliative care.
• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Ability to provide tailored education, psychological support, and clinical coordination
• Strong leadership and advocacy within clinical settings
• Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Commitment to accurate data reporting aligned with McGrath Foundation standards.
