About the Opportunity
The Manager of Sessional Interpreters, Health Translation Unit, Research and Training, is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational delivery of four key portfolios: sessional interpreter services, translator panel coordination, translation project management, and the facilitation of research and training initiatives.

The role ensures high-quality language services that meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities, supports evidence-based practice through collaboration with research partners, and drives continuous improvement through staff development and sector capacity-building activities.

 

What You'll be Doing

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, linguistic or related discipline, or relevant industry experience.
  2. Describe your experience in leading and managing teams, particularly sessional staff, to achieve organisational goals.
  3. How have you designed and delivered workforce development or training initiatives in a professional setting?
  4. Provide examples of your project management and organisational skills, including any supervisory responsibilities. 
  5. What is your understanding of translation service processes, and how have you supported multilingual resource development or health-related research?
  6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
