ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager Health information is responsible for the strategic development, improvement and oversight of the clinical and health information aspects of the NSW Ambulance health care records, including both the NSW Ambulance electronic Medical Record (eMR) and the paper based back up version.
The position holder will provide leadership to a team of application specialists and test analysts. The position holder will be the NSWA subject matter expert on patient health information record keeping. The role will include leading, developing and managing the clinical records within NSW Ambulance in line with NSW Ambulance Records and Information Management Policy and Procedures

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Qualification in Health Information Management and/or extensive experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated superior organisational, leadership and staff management skills.
- Excellent understanding of legislation and NSW policies, and experience managing release of patient health care information.
- Demonstrated experience managing health information and operational functions in a medium to large organisation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to develop high level reports and briefings; with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with senior clinicians and healthcare managers.
- High level of experience with computerised patient administration systems, electronic medical records, document scanning, Microsoft Office suite and business systems.
- Valid unrestricted drivers' license for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
- Demonstrated experience in change management. Excellent project management skills, implementation and evaluation skills; in addition to highly developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills with an ability to make decisions based on sound judgements.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management and the early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action such as investigation, resolution and monitoring of harassment and bullying, grievance issues and conflict resolution.
