Manager Financial Partnering & Performance

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline supported by demonstrated and extensive experience in a like role within a diverse government or commercial environment. Current member of relevant professional body.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the application of budget management principles and methodologies within a diverse and complex organisation and with specific experience within an activity based funding environment.
3. Significant and demonstrated relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders, and an ability to inspire a direction and purpose within a team and across a stakeholder base.
4. Demonstrated skills and knowledge of accounting standards and of practices for financial performance management and improvement particularly in the Public Sector. This will include knowledge of various Acts, government policies and standards relating to financial management and Ministry of Health funding.
5. Demonstrated experience in the analysis of financial information, reporting variances to budget and developing full year projections.
6. Extensive experience in the co-ordination and management of a highly skilled team so as to deliver high quality management accounting and value creation services combined with a sound knowledge of human resource management issues at a broad and specific level with reference to Work Health & Safety, Equal Employment Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination.
7. Advanced computer software skills including Oracle financials and Microsoft Office.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, mentor and support direct line staff and other team members to achieve organisational and departmental goals.
