About the opportunity

Mercy Health Albury Palliative Care Unit which consists of a 10-bed inpatient and community palliative care service operating in the regional city of Albury, NSW. Providing holistic specialist multidisciplinary palliative care services to Albury and surrounds. The multidisciplinary team is headed by an enthusiastic palliative care physician and includes nursing staff, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, Dietetics, Speech pathology and pastoral care worker. We provide psychological and spiritual support, caring for people of all ages with life-limiting illnesses as well as complex symptom management.

  • Mercy Health Albury - Inpatient & Community Palliative Care Services.

  • To provide best practice care as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team,

  • Act in a position of advocacy for the patient and their family in collaboration with medical staff, nursing staff and allied health staff.

  • Be a part of this compassionate team in providing quality care, best practice led care and respect and dignity through life limiting illness.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with NSW Health OASV policy. .

  2. Experience working with aged people who live with chronic health conditions.
  3. Demonstrated time management skills.

  5. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Understanding of WH&S principles and their application in the workplace.
  7. Currently hold a NSW drivers licence and a willingness to use for work purposes.
