WSLHD Health Promotion seeks a full-time Project Officer to join our team, partnering with 220+ primary schools to deliver health initiatives.
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Position Classification: Health Education Officer Graduate
Remuneration: $71,467 - $114,187 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38
Location: Cumberland Hospital

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Cumberland and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. - A strong understanding of school settings and the key challenges that impact healthy eating and physical activity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building abilities to connect with diverse groups
- An understanding of the social determinants of health and the impact on our communities
- Knowledge of effective strategies for promoting healthy eating and active living

- License: Driver’s license
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant degree in a health related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in one of the HCI settings.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of best practice interventions (especially in the area of childhood obesity).
- Demonstrated effective organisational skills, problem solving skills and computer skills.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to conduct public presentations and facilitate groups).
- Understanding of issues that impact on service delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and CALD communities.
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team and developing and maintaining partnerships, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Current driver’s license valid within Australia
