  1. Well-developed problem solving skills (the ability to assess situations and processes and act to achieve results), with proven ability to prioritise when working on a number of projects at the same time in a demanding work environment.
  2. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain community, government and non-government partnerships and negotiating to build the capacity of other organisations to promote healthy lifestyles.
  3. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills including skills in use of common computer packages including Microsoft Office and MS Outlook.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to undertake community development, population based health promotion and social marketing for positive health outcomes.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to undertake health promotion planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of current health promotion theory and evidence based practice.
  7. Relevant tertiary qualifications. For this position, applicants must be a new graduate (or have obtained a new tertiary level qualification for a career change) no more than 18 months before this position was advertised.
  8. Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
