- Well-developed problem solving skills (the ability to assess situations and processes and act to achieve results), with proven ability to prioritise when working on a number of projects at the same time in a demanding work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain community, government and non-government partnerships and negotiating to build the capacity of other organisations to promote healthy lifestyles.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills including skills in use of common computer packages including Microsoft Office and MS Outlook.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to undertake community development, population based health promotion and social marketing for positive health outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to undertake health promotion planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current health promotion theory and evidence based practice.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications. For this position, applicants must be a new graduate (or have obtained a new tertiary level qualification for a career change) no more than 18 months before this position was advertised.
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
