- Psychologist: Completion of a four-year sequence of accredited undergraduate study in the discipline of psychology (or equivalent completed overseas) with full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
Social Work: A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Sexual Assault Worker: Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent. - Demonstrated experience working in partnership with Aboriginal services and community members and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding child sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect of children and young people.
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience in relation to child protection interventions and crisis intervention, counselling and case management and demonstrated knowledge of child protection issues and impact, including relevant legislation and guidelines in relation to Child Protection, JRU and JIRTs.
- Demonstrate high level verbal and written communication, negotiation and advocacy skills and ability to adapt communication style to suit target audience.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and independently problem-solve set priorities in complex situations.
- Demonstrate experience working with culturally diverse backgrounds and the ability to provide culturally safe environment for peers, children and families.
- Demonstrate capacity to work in partnership with key multidisciplinary, interagency and stakeholders, to contribute to the development of therapeutic responses to meet demand and address client needs.
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementing, leading and evaluating of quality improvement activities involving the application of evidenced based practice
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
