Selection Criteria
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or Social Work degree and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the Psychology/AASW Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrated experience in the drug and alcohol field and specialist knowledge of the intersection of violence, abuse and neglect including child protection, domestic violence, sexual assault, mental illness, with drug and alcohol.
- Demonstrated extensive experience of providing drug and alcohol counselling, and the development and facilitation of group programs.
- Demonstrated high level ability to communicate clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing, and proven ability to foster and sustain key relationships with relevant stakeholders, and work effectively and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage stressful situations; ability to work unsupervised and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement activities, and service evaluation processes.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence, with the ability to travel in accordance with position responsibilities.
