Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification and \or experience in frontline service delivery.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to harm reduction and the Needle Syringe Program including an awareness of the complexities and challenges involved in setting up a new NSP.
  3. Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage and evaluate projects, to meet deadlines and to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders eg community members, non-government organisations, LHD Executive, government agencies and other health workers.
  4. Demonstrated capacity to develop, deliver and evaluate training programs.
  5. Understanding of health promotion and community development frameworks.
  6. Advanced communication and professional writing skills, including the production of high level reports.
  7. Willingness and ability to work in the unpredictable and sometimes volatile environment for day and evening shifts across a 7 day rotating roster.
  8. Current NSW driver’s licence and travel in SESLHD with willingness to work across SESLHD with primary locations at the Sutherland Hospital and Kings Cross.
