Where you will be based

This position will be based across Sydney Health Care Interpreter Service offices including St George Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital. For further information, please contact the convenor. 

  

About the Opportunity

In this role, you will be expected to provide high quality professional health care interpreting and/or translation services to facilitate communication between health care providers and patients in certified and/or assessed and approved language/s to support equity and access to health care services for patients/clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or the Deaf community.

Ideal Candidate

  • NAATI Certification when the language is certified by NAATI; or Recognition if certification is not available.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and willingness to travel.
