Global Health Senior Technical Officer
- Relevant doctoral or equivalent qualification, and master of public health or applied epidemiology or equivalent with extensive research experience
- A minimum of fifteen years’ experience working in low and middle income countries, and demonstrated understanding of international development and immunisation, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region;
- Demonstrated technical leadership skills across all aspects of immunisation programs, including technical project planning and capacity building in low and middle income countries settings;
- Demonstrated team communication skills including working as part of immunisation program technical working groups; non-technical advisory briefing documents and working with colleagues in low-middle income settings
- Advanced user of computer software packages including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe, financial software, and database systems including DHIS2.
- Ability to travel international as appropriate

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, as this is a Category A position, workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
