Current trade qualifications with extensive experience in gardening and grounds maintenance within a hospital or other complex site of a similar scale.

Demonstrated competency at planting out, pruning and shaping trees and shrubs and lay out of gardens and lawns.

Demonstrated knowledge of pest and weed control.

Demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures for buildings, plant and equipment in a hospital or other complex environment
-
Ability to safely use mechanical gardening equipment.
-
Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision and within a team environment.
-
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and sound understanding of high standards of customer service.

Demonstrated ability to ensure safety of self, staff and visitors by adopting safe working practices and compliance with WH&S policies and procedures.
