  1. Relevant Tertiary Qualification and/or extensive experience performing forensic post mortems and any associated duties in a forensic mortuary.
  2. Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a forensic mortuary demonstrating a high level of autonomy.
  3. Ability to successfully lead a team, with commitment to the professional development and mentorship of staff, and supporting a workforce culture that is resilient and capable of supporting change.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of current quality management systems and NATA Forensic Accreditation requirements within a forensic mortuary.
  6. Proven ability to work with the deceased in an environment that could be distressing, ensuring to raise any associated concerns and/or need for support, adopting self-care strategies and promoting same for staff.
  7. Willingness to participate in an on-call roster, and travel in accordance with the demands of the role holding a current NSW driver’s license.
  8. Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2023_022 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases.
