Selection Criteria
Please outline how you satisfy the selection criteria listed below. In addressing the selection criteria, include any relevant skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience:
1. Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)/Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.
2. Sound clinical knowledge in Palliative Medicine as demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
3. Evidence of participation in Continuing Medical Education, through the College of Physicians or otherwise evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
4. Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner including:
o High level interpersonal and communication skills.
o Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
o Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence-based best practice.
o Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.
5. Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the Department.
