Financial Accountant – Capital, Asset and Leasing

Selection Criteria to be Addressed: 

1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related discipline supported by demonstrated and extensive experience in a like role within a diverse government or commercial environment. Current member of relevant professional body.
2. Significant and demonstrated relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders, and an ability to inspire a direction and purpose within the Unit and across the Unit’s stakeholder base.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the application of capital, asset and leasing principles and methodologies within a diverse and complex organisation.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead change.
5. Demonstrated experience in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements including the initiation of engagement with stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are being met. This will include advanced level software skills.
6. Thorough and demonstrated understanding of and commitment to ensure compliance and accountability with all aspects of capital, asset and lease accounting obligations within the NSW public health setting.
7. Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills at all management levels within an organisation to work effectively with a diverse range of people including external clients.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, mentor and support team members as well as other stakeholders to achieve organisational and departmental goals.
