About the role
Join our team to lead the implementation of the Safe Wayz Program in Western NSW Local Health District, coordinating primary prevention initiatives, early support and pathways for specialist intervention for children under 10 years with problematic and harmful sexual behaviours and their families along with family violence coordination.
This role will coordinate primary prevention initiatives, provision of early support for children and families to address behaviours when they are first identified, and coordinate pathways into specialist counselling services for children and families who need them.
The Safe Wayz Coordinator will support internal and external stakeholders with providing best practice and culturally appropriate responses through professional consultation and liaison. The role may hold a small clinical case load.
This role will be part of a local Safe Wayz Program team which will be integrated into the Local Health District’s Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) service stream and led by the Sexual Assault Service. The team will work with PARVAN teams and collaborate with Program Providers including CAMHS and Child and Family Health teams across WNSWLHD.
