About the role:
Are you ready to take on a role where no two days are the same? Do you enjoy working in a diverse environment where your work makes a meaningful difference to the community? We’re looking for a proactive and personable Building and Facilities Manager to join the Facilities Management Team within Greater Newcastle Integrated Care Services, which supports the day-to-day operations of community health facilities across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and Port Stephens. This is a great role for an early-career professional ready to build their expertise from the ground up!

This position is based at the Raymond Terrace Health Centre, a thriving health hub home to over 30 public and private services. You will also oversee the nearby Karuah HealthOne facility. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will lead a small onsite team, including two administration staff and one part-time maintenance staff member.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Managing the daily operations of both Raymond Terrace Health Centre and Karuah HealthOne
  • Leading facility meetings and supporting your team with a range of operational tasks
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders including GPs, healthcare professionals, contractors, and tenants
  • Arranging and supervising onsite contractors
  • Reviewing service level agreements and completing facility audits
  • Responding to emerging issues and adapting to the unexpected – every day is different!
