  1. Demonstrated experience in a commercial/industrial cleaning role.
  2. Demonstrated sound understanding of industrial standard cleaning techniques, with the ability to apply the most appropriate cleaning agent and method.
  3. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as being self motivated when working as an individual.
  4. Demonstrated written communication skills, including reading and understanding chemical labels, and the ability to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary staff environment.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health & Safety principles, including safe manual handling techniques
  6. Demonstrated experience using a range of computer applications and workplace systems such as Portals, ChemAlert, My Health Learning, and StaffLink and/or ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems or software.
  7. Hold a current NSW drivers license and willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the role
  8. Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2024_015 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases. All recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. All recruits must provide evidence against specified diseases and comply with the requirements of this policy at their own cost prior to appointment.

The preferred candidate may be required to undergo a functional assessment prior to appointment.

This position is a permanent position. To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
